BERNINA pass

The BERNINA pass offers unforgettable panoramas, an easy road and legendary hairpin bends that lead to the 2330m peak.

The pass remains open all year round, except in rare cases of bad weather (but it can be checked day and night thanks to the historic webcam).

Going up from Pontresina towards the pass you will find the cable cars that take you to the ski slopes of Diavolezza and Lagalb.

Descending from the pass towards Tirano and Valtellina, there is the detour to Livigno (closed in winter).

The Bernina Express train that connects Tirano to Pontresina also stops at the Ospizio Bernina station.
