Skimo = ski mountaineering, English translation, which means passion for the wild and uncontaminated mountains.
Ski Mountaineering will see the dispute of the 2026 Olympics in Bormio.
Ascents and descents in fresh snow with skis or skins on your feet and all around an entrancing silence that accompanies you on your adventures in the mountains.
It is a reality in Alta Rezia, where there is never a lack of opportunities for ski mountaineering and where the crisp air helps to regenerate body and soul.
If you like off-piste skiing, fun is guaranteed as long as you check the avalanche danger situation, and for this there are daily bulletins compiled to let you ski in complete safety, such as the Centro Nivometeo in Bormio or Freeride Livigno.
In all seasons of the year the opportunities are good and you can climb really high, where renowned alpine refuges welcome you.
